An all vintage system

Got to thinking, if I could just will it into existence, how grand would it be to have a JBL Paragon, Thorens TD124/SME 3009/ADC, Marantz 7, Marantz 8B, Marantz 10B

Is there any set up you would will into existence?

My setup is mostly vintage, except the streamer, and turntable, well and subs. Would love to add a cool vintage TT, just hard to find in the right shape and price.

For me, I can't afford new TOTL components, so went with vintage TOTL, then rebuilt them all. Even my speakers are vintage, and they sound great.

For me, nothing can beat the look of vintage, it's hard to today to get the same build quality. 15lb tuners? Who even makes a modern tuner? That's the great thing about our passion, there are endless choices!

I would love to have this 70 year old classic!

Quad ESL‑57 is widely regarded as one of the most influential loudspeakers in audio history, and many speaker designers, engineers, and audiophiles still use it as a benchmark or reference for midrange clarity, tonal accuracy, and low distortion

@devinplombier Thanks. The best part is that with refurbishment and fine tuning, the systems are fast, clear, neutral, and transparent—not slow and warm.

ESL57s are simply amazing as long as you’re in the sweet spot.

@zavato It was what my Dad had. In a righteous rage (another woman while they were separated) my mom gave it all away. When I asked why she didn’t give to me she said, “oh.” They reconciled and he never re-upped.
