All-In-One Options

Hi Friends:

I am interested in suggestions for a transport/streamer/network player. OK if it has an internal DAC but I would be happy to use my own. I would like the unit to spin physical media as I have a large collection of CD/SACDs. Price not important yet just getting a sense of what might be out there that I am missing.

Take a look at the Wadax Studio Player....a all-in-one system. Yes, pricey = $39k , but it is one tenth of the price of the same reference system they make. When putting a digital system together (quality compenents) = CD/SACD transport, DAC, Streamer, interconnects, power cords - it is easy to reach upper of this pricepoint.

You have an excellent system.  There are two very expensive products that are up to matching the performance of your system, on opposite ends of the tonal spectrum design philosophy, and they do not do it all.  The DCS Rossini, stressed detailed clarity, has no server but provides DAC, CD transport, and streamer.  The Burmester 111 Music Center, stresses romantic detail,  has a DAC, streamer, server, and CD burner.  You cannot play a CD directly and must first burn it to the server.  It does not take long.  Once burned your set for the long hall.  Others on the market like Marantz or Eversolo are not in the same SQ class as your Esoteric.   My recommendation is to do a reality check on your desire for an all in one streamer/CD/DAC or a Streamer/CD.   Lower priced  alternatives as stated are no up to the SQ you are used to.  If technology changes, you are stuck with your all in one, expensive dinosaur.  Personally, I would go with a separate streamer and DAC since you have a phenomenal CD player.

Check the Eversolo Play.  It's a decent Swiss Army knife a very modest price point.
