@speedthrills If I sunk $7K into shitty recordings with limited dynamic range, surface noise, pops and clicks I'd be pissed too. Perhaps you are shopping in the wrong store?

"No ability to skip tracks from your chair".  This one is on you. If this was a requirement you should have figured out vinyl wasn't for you from the get go and saved $7K. 

Speedthrills rant is the reason why I don’t have a vinyl rig.(other than the skipping part, firmly believe in playing the whole album 💿)Saw the writing on the wall. Planted all my trees 🌳 in the streaming world 🌎. Still trying to convince myself to get a switch, otherwise I’m more than happy with the way it turned out. 

Sounds like someone spelled Impex wrong… $7K impulse…

but sure - why not start your own thread on format supremacy…. My vote based on real experience is high speed tape 

But in the interest of trying to add on subject input, the recent Impex reissue of Al Di Meola - Elegant Gypsy is extraordinary :-) 

Not a fan of that Di Meola album but planning to order a few more impex pressings of albums I really like. Hopefully the Stan Getz vinyl gets reprinted.
