My back hurts more when I lay down so I instead use one of these low-boy "comfy chairs" for "long" sleep deprived listening sessions - and it’s a 2-FUR as I don’t have to get up to take a break.

For April Fools' Day
OK. This is bizarre and sounds like an April Fool's joke. I couldn't possibly have submitted this on any other day than today. I discovered this by accident, and maybe I've done it once since. I was futzing with my streamer while sitting on the floor between my speakers. My back hurt, and I lay down on the floor with music playing. Suddenly, I was in a mosh pit, staring up at the lead singer right above me. It was a very fun, immersive experience. So, try it. Sit on the floor, put your waist between your speakers, and lie down. I know... this is zany enough to actually be true. (And if you prefer this sweet spot, you can move your system into a walk-in closet. LOL)
This speaker set up technique sort of builds on this phenomenon to maximize soundstage. It starts with the speakers right in front of your listening position then moving them back, as opposed to what we usually do, starting them far away from us then moving them forward. |
