Impex Records

Any yays or nays with regards to Impex Records albums?

I know that they’ve been around for 10+ years but I have never purchased any of their LP’s.

Are they worth the $ and how much of a difference is there between their LP’s and for lack of a better description, stock LP’s?

@tomic601 Your experience is similar to mine.
Listening to PB Cafe Blue as I type this. Sounds is actually excellent. Vinyl is noisy in some places. I’ll give it an ultrasonic bath tomorrow.
Cluque is the worst noise wise. My favorite song on that album is the last track on side 2 and it happens to be the noisiest. Is it worth the asking price for the 45rpm Cafe, yes to me it does but borderline.

Impex is as good as anything out there.  I have the Three Blind Mice six-record set and it offers some great jazz and is not to be missed.

I plan to buy the Sing and Dance with Frank Sinatra 1-step in the very near future.

The difference is ( likely ) that I own thirty some Impex and can make a different inference than your first post.

I have a handful, they are well made and sound great.  If you value quality, the difference between a $25-$40 standard pressing and an Impex release is easily evident and well worth a few dollars more.
