Impex Records

Any yays or nays with regards to Impex Records albums?

I know that they’ve been around for 10+ years but I have never purchased any of their LP’s.

Are they worth the $ and how much of a difference is there between their LP’s and for lack of a better description, stock LP’s?

@audphile1, I was hoping that they’d have a larger selection but I get it.

A number of the LP’s appear tempting but I also noticed that a number of them are sold out as well.

Thank you

In my experience, Impex vinyl is among the best in the business. Saturday night  in San Francisco with Al Di Meola et al is shocking in it’s immediacy. Legrand Jazz puts you in the studio in France in 1959. Ayako Hosakawa’s Whisper of Love will make your skin tingle. The Jazz Messangers Hard Bop...Ellington Indigos...fantastic. But the pièce de résistance is Miles Davis at the Blackhawk. This is the reason that you spent all that money on your hifi...

My P Barber is sketchy in places and shockingly good in others.   The black disc can be maddening that way but many other Impex superb.
