Does Gryphon Diablo 300 Benefit With A Costly Mains Power Cable?

Not familiar with that amp but I am familiar with DPS-4.1 and Shunyata. DPS has crystalline clarity and can sound either very good and pleasant or slightly artificial depending on your system. Shunyata is a brighter sounding cable. I didn’t like their Alpha X power and USB cables. Definitely worth trying though as you never know how a power cable will interact with your system. 

Thanks. May I ask which Shunyata mains power cable which you like? The Alpha-X is at the top of my budget as the Sigma-X and above are too much money. I am looking at a brighter and more open and dynamic sound but don’t want to lose the great bass, fluidity and tonality of the DPS4.1. I guess there is no other way than to try it in the system. 

I could get another DPS4.1 instead of the costlier Alpha-X NR though.

I tested Alpha X v2. What sonic characteristics are you looking for and what current characteristics you are trying to improve?

No experience with the Gryphon Diablo 300.  However, one thing I do know is, with any amp or other components, trail and error is the key to finding the perfect power cable for that particular component.  Happy listening.  

Why not give Gryphon's Vanta cord a try?  Maybe your dealer can arrange a loaner.
