Looking for impressions of Pioneer PL50Lii turntable.

Supposed by some to be the next best thing to an Exclusive P3. But I don't know the differences, of which there must be many.

The PL 50 ii looks like a nice deck. I assume they are all Japanese market and will require a step down transformer. 

 I'm wondering if any of the US market JVC's or Denon's, of the the same era, would be comparable? Already set up for 120V and 60 hz.
