Hegel H600 HT bypass? can i use seperate preamp?

I have a chance to get a very nice  and costly (for me)  VAC tube pre, the catch at the moment is I only have my one Hegel H600 integrated amp

anybody know how the HT bypass section really works on the Hegel?  does it fully disable its preamp functionality.....if so, I'll be buying and trying out that vac

option 2 was to get a second cheaper class d amp for the time being something like a buckeye but would prefer not to spend more than the cost of theVAC

option 3 I guess I could run it direct (preamp on preamp?)  or is that a bad idea?

I cant’t comment on the Hegel .

But usually , the HT Bypass of an integrated amp.  completely disable his  preamp section.

This is my experience with Soulution INT 300   and  Vinnie Rossi Brama Integrated

bump for all the Hegel owners

I believe Hegel suggests any input can be configured through the menu for this which has me questioning how this actually disables the preamp

Well, as the name implies the bypass bypasses the Hegel’s preamp section so yes that’ll work.  I would not do option 2 or 3.

soix info online suggests the preamp is not actually disabled from the circuit , im waiting on hegel to confirm

no offence soix but i need guys who know here  with the knowledge and experience

thanks for trying to help though
