Dylan’s passing is going to be huge, surpassing all others, including Elvis Presley and John Lennon. THE single most consequential musical artist of the last half of the 20th century (and even into the 21st). You may disagree with that opinion, which is fine.

 

Dylan to Leonard Cohen: Hey, you're Leonard Cohen. Like your stuff. Like it a lot. You're number one. Cohen: If I'm number one, what are you? Dylan: I'm number zero.

@bdp24 10,000% correct.  On one hand I acknowledge he is THE DUDE (because he is).  On the other hand, I loathe his nasal, incomprehensible lyrics, and ALL things boomer. 

The problem, as you so accurately point out - we have to celebrate them when they die, and this will be beyond anything we have ever seen.  And it simply exhausts me thinking about it.

 

Hope he went out with a summer breeze.regaurdless of political beliefs i separate thier politics from the art.they are singing with the angels upstairs.enjoy the music.
