Never heard of krupnikas before. I looked it up and it sounds pretty darn good 😊

I can tell you I’ve had the same bottle of Krupnik (Poland) for 7 years. Not much of a drinker these days. I have a tradition of having one small glass at Wigilia, Polish Christmas Eve supper. I sip it as we pass around the oplatki, holy wafers, before the meal. I’m not particularly religious, but-tradition. This is the toast my dad taught me to say as each family member breaks off a piece of oplatki: Życząc Ci zdrowia, bogactwa i szczęścia, a po śmierci niebiańskiej korony. "Wishing you health, wealth and happiness, and in death, the Heavenly crown." Polish is not easy. Anyway, it’s not your standard liqueur, it’s vodka strong so easy does it. Interesting taste. Sip it warm in winter, over ice in summer. Worth a try. Get the authentic stuff or you can make your own, actually. |
This is the best thread since @mitch2’s DAC shoot-out. I do hope @parkergetdean does get the amp (whichever it is) fixed, but damn, I’m gonna miss the saga and the repartee. |
