amp I bought 3 days ago not powering on - electrical engineer advice wanted

I bought a used Musical Fidelity A380 in good condition. Played it every day, worked fine.

Today it did not turn on. There were no sign of failure yesterday. Could it be a fuse or power supply?

The cd player I have in for repair has been fixed and ready for a week now. And it’s impossible to arrange for pickup. I have waited for a call I never received last week and today I was told I will get a call back in 30mins. It is now 4hrs later and no one called. The only thing left is to create an invoice and tell me how much and when I can pick it up. This has been taking a week now for a phuking piece of paper.
So yeah best advice by @devinplombier just keep on waiting. Don’t call. They’ll call you. Lol

6 months is insane @audphile1 it's like "we are busy with our lives, you pray that somehow we will end up working on your equipment"

Yes it’s not very reasonable I agree. But my experience with local repair shops has been consistent. I stopped buying equipment that I cannot get serviced at the manufacturer. And I stopped buying equipment made by anyone other than major brands that have been in business for a long time and have reputation for great service. This goes for cables as well. I don’t buy flavor of the month or some off the wall random stuff that is being hyped up…aka flavor of the month.
The CD player in question is vintage and the manufacturer can’t repair it. Hence the only option of getting it done at s local shop (authorized repair center by the way) or put it out by the curb which I had no guts to do…

@audphile1 which brand / model CD player are you having fixed? Asking out of curiosity, I currently have four CD players needing various levels of attention :)

@devinplombier right now let’s not worry about that please.
I’ll do a reveal after I pick it up if I remember.
I can tell you that it did not fail because of poor workmanship or poor quality parts. It failed because it was time for it to fail. It is built like a tank and will hopefully last another 25 years after it’s fixed.
