amp I bought 3 days ago not powering on - electrical engineer advice wanted

When you dropped off the amp I'm sure you asked for a time estimate. If the guy said "two months" (what did he say?), then you probably don't want to be calling after one week.

If he called you with an update, then he didn't just toss your amp on a shelf, so there's that 

he said 2 weeks first, to my face, and then 1 week, the next day - for the battery to arrive

I called him - just now, no answer. 

We are all up-to-date 

The cd player I have in for repair has been fixed and ready for a week now. And it’s impossible to arrange for pickup. I have waited for a call I never received last week and today I was told I will get a call back in 30mins. It is now 4hrs later and no one called. The only thing left is to create an invoice and tell me how much and when I can pick it up. This has been taking a week now for a phuking piece of paper. 
So yeah best advice by @devinplombier just keep on waiting. Don’t call. They’ll call you. Lol

6 months is insane @audphile1 it's like "we are busy with our lives, you pray that somehow we will end up working on your equipment"
