Andrew Jones - New Company, New Speaker - Field Coil Concentric

It appears Andrew Jones has started his own company, "Jones & Cerreta" and will be showcasing a new speaker with a field coil concentric driver at Axpona.

I am excited to audit this speaker and talk to him at Axpona in a couple of weeks.

Nice aesthetic- Kinda Googie.👍

Highly suspect they sound fantastic.

Good to see no fancy footers/spikes.

Hope he is at The SHOW in June.

A man of his aptitude level needed to have his own company right after his ~TAD days perhaps (Everyone knew who he was by then)...From a business perspective, I  wondered what he was doing with Elac and Mofi thereafter...Better late than never.

Congratulations Drew!!!

Great to hear.

Bet they sound AMAZING...

Andrew Jones responded to speculation in another forum about his company and his moving about from one company to another.  He said that he still works for Mo-Fi and that Mo-Fi has allowed him to also do this separate venture.  To me, that means that the two companies are not competitors and that the speakers from his new company will be much more costly than anything Mo-Fi would market.

Field coil speakers do tend to be costly, but they do deliver a very lively and engaging sound when done correctly.  Andrew Jones said that the new speakers would be high in efficiency which is VERY GOOD NEWS because I think that the very best amps are low-powered things, particularly low-powered tube amps.

From another source Jones apparently also continues designing for MoFi.

I have a pair of SP 888, which impress me more the more I listen.  Still, I'd love to hear this new design.
