What is the most preferred revel or jbl speaker you own or have owned, And why did you prefer it

My first set of serious speakers were JBL Olympus, with the JBL 001 system. I would still own them but my wife convinced me they were too large for our living room. I sold them for exactly half of what I had paid for them in the 1970’s. If I had kept them, I could probably have sold them for twice what I paid for them. In any case, they had a big sound with clear high frequencies, that I really liked. My current speakers are Sonus Faber Electa Amators (Original version), so I can't  complain.

To simply answer your question, JBL-L100’s. I bought a pair new from the factory store, J.B. Lansing in Burbank, CA in 1976 for $600. Despite others commenting, I loved those speakers. I was an apartment dweller in those days and couldn’t and wouldn’t have owned more powerful speakers because I wouldn’t have been able to crank them up. They served me well for speakers in the pre-subwoofer era.

I currently have an all McIntosh System with a C2800 preamp, (2) mono-blocked MC 275 Vl’s running through older KEF Reference 205/2’s and (2) REL 812 subs.

Thanks for the question!

My first set of serious speakers were JBLs in the 1960s.  I don’t remember the model number, but they had 12” woofers and the foam grid grills.  They were great.  Sold them to buy a pair of Infinity RSIIbs, which were astounding at the time; I had them for 14 years, and then they were severely damaged in an Army move within Germany.  Replaced them with the Infinity Modulus satellites and servo-sub because the wife wanted more room.  Thirty years later, replaced them in the main system with Fyne F-702 speakers, which are astounding.

Revel f208.

Lovely. I never knew how good a speaker could be until I replaced my old Ushers with the f208s.
