Just upgraded my speakers - do I still need the subs

I just purchased a used pair of KEF reference one Meta speakers to upgrade from my LS 50 Metas which I have paired with 2 KC 62 subwoofers. I am looking for some opinions on whether I need to keep the subs or whether I can go ahead and sell them along with my LS 50s.

As a tip from someone who has tried many times to use subwoofers, your decision will be based on your preferences.  But you may need to know what to listen for.

With subwoofers I have noticed a decrease in pace and dynamics.  Since I prefer fast paced transients and dynamic burst I have moved on to full range speakers.

Especially once the subs were tuned in balance with the mains their deep bass contribution withing the music was noticed on a low percentage of recordings.

Many people use their subwoofers as a bass tome control to boost tones that the main speakers play.  If that is your preference then there is often no other way to boost midbass.

Keep the subs. After trying subs on your next floorstanders THEN decide if want to sell.
