Aric Audio Transcend Push Pull?

Anyone own this amp and if you do how do you like it? I am planning on getting one to add to the amp stable. I have a nice Coda SS amp so I thought I’d add a Tube amp to be able to change flavors from time to time. Aric has agreed to build it with XLR connectors so I can use my existing cables and he suggested the EL 34 tubes in it for my speakers and room situation. It will drive the top end of my Legacy Focus XD’s through the Legacy Wavelet II crossover/DSP unit. All the reviews I can find on it are old and Aric has made several improvements to it. I ordered it with stage 2 upgrades, might as well go "all in" as it will be my last major purchase. Looking for the tube warmth, bloom, soundstage layering and magic midrange tubes are so good at. Swapping amps will be easy for me because they both only weigh 45 pounds. I am 71 and ain’t what I used t be. LOL. Thank you.

@tuberist   Do you have the Stack AUVA EQ's under it too? I have them under everything, so when the new amp arrives I can stick them under it too.

I have a Transcend "Push Pull" EL34 amp, and I believe it's upgrades are close to a Level 2. Since it is 1.5 years old, Aric didn't label them the same. It is the same unit that Terry London reviewed for Stereo Times (which was upgraded before it was sent to Terry); and he added more when it got back to him after the review. You will love the amp, my other tube amps were boxed away once I got the Transcend.

Aric supplied the Transcend with Sylvania "Bad Boy" 6SN7. I also have RCA VT-231s that I bought from Brent Jessee, Ray Tubes 6SN7 "Select", and Linlai E-6SN7s. My audio  room will be finished late may or so, and I'll start tube rolling again.

I too have kept my CODA S5.5, and like you I ADORE it......an amazing amp. I run both amps from Aric's Motherlode XL preamp......amazing combinations.

@vthokie83 I'm glad you're still digging the amp! Yours was actually reviewed by Bob Grossman of Enjoy The Music. Terry London reviewed the original version of the amp back in 2017. Your amp is current however and does have the Tier 2 upgrades as outlined on the website, I just don’t think that I had them listed back when you purchased it.  Best, Aric
