JPlay experts? — Innuos Stream1 is invisible!

I just started exploring JPlay, and it seems quite good sound-wise and in terms of user interface, but although it easily found all of my other streaming devices (Aurender, Gato, BlueSound) on my LAN, it will not recognize my Innuos Stream1 as an audio output. (It does recognize it as a potential library, but as i have no SSD installed on the Stream1, that is not terribly useful or relevant.)

I have enabled UPnP on the Stream1 via the Sense app and have tried putting the Stream1 in Innuos Standalone, Innuos Endpoint and HQ Player modes, but in none of those will JPlay list the Stream1 as an audio output choice.

Anybody have any idea of what I’m doing wrong?

@marcin_gps I did send a similar question to the JPlay support email the other day.)

Well, one has to give it to Innuos support on speed. In under 3 minutes, I got this response:

“I hope you're well and busy enjoying your system.

While we do not rule anything out entirely, I can say that there are currently no plans to expand our UPnP related features. Our main focus is on continuing to improve and develop our Sense platform.

Kind Regards,“

@kirkwallace , we’ll you got your answer unfortunately it’s not what you were hoping for. I appreciate your post as I only use the Innuos app. Hopefully next year I can go to a better streamer DAC and your experience is helpful to me. FWIT I asked Innuos support about a volume issue streaming Tidal/Qbuz Vs internet radio and they couldn’t do anything to raise the output of my streamer in regards to Tidal/Qbuz vs the available radio channels. In my truck I only use Tidal as Siri is not supported by Qbuz. Ah first world problems! 😆 Regards , Mike B.

Makes me wish I had traded in my stream1 and Phoenix instead of my Aurender N200.

I have kind of been lurking here trying to learn a bit more about Jplay. I have an Auralic Aries G1 and run MinimServer on my NAS. Up until now I have used the Lightning iOS app pretty exclusively, although I did try Roon out a couple times, and at one point previously ran Audirvana. Roon never did it for me. It couldn't catalog my server content as I wanted it too. Both the Lightning App and Audirvana both did fine in that area. I just started the 2 week trial on Jplay and have to say at first I was a bit disappointed but after a short learning curve I tend to like it. While I don't like how it natively catalogs my server content (Qobuz is just fine), I can access my content By Folder and see my content on MinimServer and when selected Jplay catalogs it exactly as I like. There is a simplicity to Jplay I like as well. It still has a few lumps but I am inclined to stick with it as I intend to replace my Aries in the near future.

Contact owner Marcin through the website. I moved on from Roon since I liked losing the server hardware and the sound appealed more to me although both are pretty great.
