Country Joe McDonald

'Electric Music for the Mind and Body' was arguably the greatest psychedelic album ever - RIP Joe. BTW, he was from the Berkeley scene across the Bay, not San Francisco, per se. 

One thing revealed by another user in the deleted thread was McDonald’s performance at Festival For Peace. That’s a show I never heard about, but you can learn a bit about it on this incredible site that the user also shared. It’s a great resource.

Interesting tidbit;

His parents were Communists and named him after Joseph Stalin.
