What to do with very low offer on an item for sale

I am pretty new to selling on Audiogon and with a component I have received an offer of 25% of the price; I had chosen a price, including shipping, at the low end of what I have seen on HiFi shark.

If someone with more experience than I could help; do I ignore it or come back with a sensible (10% perhaps) discount on my price.

Thanks for advice

I agree with tuberest. You might restate your asking price and move on. When I worked a sales floor that's what I would do. Be courteous and then move on.

I've had some people come back and negotiate seriously so, don't be rude. They might just end up being the purchaser.

I suggest you do a little investigation as to what the typical valuation of your item is on the market. Condition plays a big role pertaining to value. Once you have some credible information, compare the offer to typical valuation.  If the offer is ridiculously lower, then ignore it. I am assuming you didn't list the item as "OBO"?

I hope you aren't desperate to sell it. !!
