Aimee Mann

just saw her last night. Had to wait 26 years but it was worth it. She sounded as good as ever.

Beautiful, moving voice and songs...

Bachelor No. 2 is where it peaked for me. I was obsessed with Magnolia.

I just looked up the vinyl on ebay, NOT cheap.

@tomic601 she will be in LA and then up in OR and WA for 5 more occasions.

Fun fact:

26 years ago I was less than a mile from her playing live. (Davis in Somerville, MA). I was a huge fan by then, and I was dying to see her. But I was unaware of it until after the concert ended. My friend mentioned after a number of beers "btw your favorite musician was playing tonight". I can still relive that devastating feeling I felt. The twist was that I was l living in Europe at the time, with no plans to move to the US, I only showed up here once a year for a week or so.

It seems that she was heralded as one of America's great song writers around the same time as John Hiatt and a few others.

Big fan and saw her once in San Francisco. I love the Mobile Fidelity SACD of "Lost In Space".

Her T'il Tuesday work is rather good.
