Used Klipschorns, what to look for

But, a older klipschorn has potential w.r.t sonics, if the drivers are still in decent shape. You can do a active crossover, some bracing,  etc,  convert a ugly duckling into a lovely swan.

Yeah, can't see them very well, but does look like the side grills are on upside down, and on the wrong side!

If they are structurally sound, strongly consider doing a complete Volti K-horn upgrade.  About $4500 last I looked, but will replace EVERY internal part.  You will have a COMPLETELY new, and WAY better speaker.  Exponentially better.  Very doable if you have a basic skillset.  Greg is a great guy and the upgrade work is very well explained on his site.  Wish I had upgraded mine years before I did.

jimintally, I'm getting a really clear view of things once I click on the photos.  I have looked into the Volti upgrades in the past, seems like a worthy thing to do. The weird rubber strips along the wood bracing look very strange to me.

Do you guys know what these are going for lately?   Id put these at a 5 out of 10 cosmetically, and you can see form the rear there is a good amount of dust, etc. Apparently they still sound great, and I'll be taking pics and checking them out in person tomorrow. 

While I am there, any things I should check out, red flags, etc?

Terrible site. 3 times brought up spam, no pictures. Finally saw pics on 4th try.  Speakers look quite “used”, do not look like they were well taken care of.  Verify everything twice before buying. 

If a pair is beat just get a new bass driver (not expensive) and use a Beyma driver/horn setup instead of the Klipsch stuff. Shinjitsu sells one, or just get some cool wood horns someplace. Mo bettah.
