Replacing Roon - What Should I get?

I'm tired of Roon having brain farts.  I have an original Roon Nucleus and have updated and augmented the Memory.  This helped for a bit.  But now, I keep having to reboot the darn thing.

It's not my network.  I have checked it out and everything in the house works fine.

Here is the setup.  A direct fiber optic link goes to the Router.  Then ethernet to Roon from the Router.  This way I get Roon to talk with the setup upstairs.  I have an 35 foot ethernet cable that runs through the walls directly from the router into my dCS Lina.

I want to replace the Roon.  I am thinking about an Innuos Stream.  Just need a streamer that can hold Roon/Tidal.  Don't need a DAC as the dCS does that quite well.  I have a SSD in the Nucleus that holds a ton of my music that I want to move over.

Thoughts on what to replace the Roon with?  Innuos (Stream) always get bandied about.  I hear about Arender as well. I don't want to get an updated Roon.

I also wonder about deleting and reinstalling the Roon App on my iPads.

Congrats on this very nice app! UI is very good and intuitive to use. I will take your suggestion and try running jplay with Roon core completely off to see if it eliminates streaming stops. Again, sound quality is excellent. 
 

One more interesting issue I have noticed - when I was streaming Patricia Barber “Clique” album from Tidal the highest resolution version that was made available to me was the redbook 16/44. Jplay does not see the MQA version of this album. My DAC is capable of unfolding MQA and it happens to sound really nice playing MQA albums. Is there a setting I’ve missed somewhere?

I’m still running the original nucleus with approx 250gb internal library.  Software bugs have increased in recent months, but for me that’s been like 1 nucleus soft roboot per month vs 1 per 6mo.  I have 6 zones I use regularly and only one is wired. Far from a deal breaker, the tech continues to impress me overall.  I hope they OP can get his system sorted.

For what it's worth.  I dumped my Rose RS159B streamer combo with DAC and replaced with separates.  Running a Denafrips Pontus 15th witha Eversolo T8 streamer.  simple setup.  I go from routerVia eternet to T8 then from T* to DAC via I2s (HDMI) cable.....very happy with SQ. Streamer is $1200 USD and future proofed for years to come....oh yeh, to listen, I stream Qobuz only via Qobuz Connect.  I believe the T* is Roon ready....Riiculus price for streamer, I thought about going Innuous, but liked the T8 as much as an Innuous , just my opinion....good luck in your upgrade

Just to clarify, I recommended Innuos for their Sense app not only for sound/usability, that it gets high marks for, but because for searching, discovering, organizing music it has been mentioned more than others for being close (or close enough) to Roon without the hassle, which I assume is important to you.  As you explore these other options I’d keep functionality/user interface in mind as many others don’t measure up to Sense (or Roon)  in that regard if that’s of primary importance to you.

Thank you for the compliments. 

"Clique" is currently available only in 16/44 FLAC version on Tidal. 

On Qobuz it's in 24/176
