seeking used streamer/dac combo? suggestions

+1 for Innuos.   I started out with the Zen Mini Mk3 as a Roon core, streamer, DAC.   It was pretty good.   Then I added the external power supply to it.   It got better again when I switched off of Roon in favor of Innuos Sense.   Then I split out the DAC so the Innuos just runs as a streamer now.   My DAC is the T+A DAC200.   Great upgrade path.   My next move will be to the new Innuos Stream3 streamer.

Great sound and it got significantly better with each step.

I've seen Moon 280D streamers used for $1500. It's stripped down. No screen. You use an iPad or phone to control it. Just a streamer and a DAC. It sounds very good for the price. Read a review or two.

A bit late to the party but to throw in my two cents.

I will say I love Aurender.  I started with an A100 about 4 or 5 years ago (my first serious streamer).  I upgraded that to an A15 last year so would echo the comment above on the A15 - recognizing you said it wasn't in budget.  The A10 is great and sounds VERY similar to the A10 in my experience (never having owned it though) BUT the A10 and A100 are a lot slower to boot up and shutdown and run fairly warm.  If you don't mind waiting several minutes for it to boot up (or are willing to leave it on all the time despite it running warm), the A10 is fantastic.  Obviously it also does not have a more up to date large display like the newer models.  I've been looking at getting a used A1000 for my desktop system which I imagine also gets very close in sound - if you don't need balanced out.  I would wager that if you don't need balanced, the A1000 is going to get you very close sound-wise to the A10 but with the updated system so it boots faster and runs cooler.
