bdp24?

Haven't seen @bdp24 around since late October of last year. Anybody heard from him? Just hoping he's ok, I really enjoy his contribution to the forum.

Yes, Tammy just confirmed his account had been hijacked and they suspended it.

With that, going on the premise he's alive and well and simply can't communicate.

Well I hope he gets it sorted out. You can tell he's been missed around here.

That is why you need to enable MFA in your account on this site and any other site that offers this option.

Don't know about you guys - but in my eyes (being in IT) I have seen may accounts here that are from early 2000s and they have not posted in the last 20 years and have suddenly started posting actively in the past 2-3 years - are all hacked and suspect. There is a user with > $50K in electronics and then shills for a $250 cable. When I asked him to show the system changes, a new photo was posted, but that hardly indicated that it was from the same system.

MFA is the only option for some robust security sites including banks, SSN, etc. It is your choice whether to accept it or not.

@audiowin55 I spent a little bit of time going back through bdp24‘s posts. He had over 10,000 posts on this forum. In looking at some of his conversations it was very clear that he lived in Southern California. He spoke about audio shops he frequented and people he knew there. He described in much detail in a couple of posts the names of the people he knew (and shared hotel rooms with at audio shows over the years). being curious, I actually placed a call to one of them and left a message asking for a callback concerning the well-being of this person. I have not gotten a message back.
