What to do with very low offer on an item for sale

I am pretty new to selling on Audiogon and with a component I have received an offer of 25% of the price; I had chosen a price, including shipping, at the low end of what I have seen on HiFi shark.

If someone with more experience than I could help; do I ignore it or come back with a sensible (10% perhaps) discount on my price.

Thanks for advice

Ignore them. Simple

There will always be extreme low ballers. I would ignore them because none of them will pay what the item is actually worth!

As a fairly experienced seller I can tell you that out of probably 20+ low ball offers I received only one was from a serious buyer who was looking for a best possible deal. We eventually agreed on a price that was fair to both of us. 

You can ignore the low baller. If he’s a serious buyer he’ll reach out again.

@retiredaudioguy one more important note - when you accept PayPal goods and services you get hit with a fee and there’s a chance for scammers to pay you and then charge back claiming some nonsense with PayPal who typically side with the buyer. Be very careful with buyers who have no feedback or who registered around the date you listed your item. Just use caution. 
I would strongly advise accepting PayPal Friends & Family only especially for the item you’re selling which isn’t high dollar by any means. There are a lot of counterfeit cardas cables and that’s what someone can claim. You don’t want that headache.
