To upgrade from Simaudio 600I to 740p/860a combo?

Again, I ponder whether I should take the plunge and upgrade from the current Simaudio 600i integrated amp (125watts in 8ohm) to the Simaudio 740p/860a separate combo (200watts in 8ohms). How much money would I be out, well about 16,000. First question, do I need it? Currently own Franco Serblin Ketema (4ohm) speakers which appears to like a little more power than the 600i can put out. Will the modest upgrade to 200watt separate combo be beneficial. Thoughts from those that have listened to both the 600i and the 740p/860a combo.

@ddafoe I now have a Pass 250.8 and love it. I am running my Lumin T3 directly into it. It is good, but not great at is was when I tested in going into an INT250. The preamp in the INT improved the soundstage and natural sound.
I am considering the Moon 740p for the pre into my Pass. Are you still enjoying the combo. What do you like about it?
thanks!

@jo1mtb, I still have the 740P but have moved from the X250.8 to the XA30.8 to now the Coda S5.5.    I've tried a few very good quality DACs (e.g. Meitner, Bricasti) direct into the various amps I've owned but have always preferred the sound of my system with the 740P present.    I find it may give up a slight level of detail compared to DAC direct but adds a more fuller and 3d like soundstage which to me makes the music sound more life like and enjoyable.
