Setting for Planar 3 RS Nd5 with Rogue RP-1?

+1 @audphile1 for being the adult in the answer column. I have an RP-1 and a Hera, the RP-1 is a great little pre. FWIT consider upgrading the pair of 12AU7’s after it settles in. Also Rogue support is great and all you need is make a call or email for questions like this. Happy Listening, Mike B.

I will also add that I agree with on tubes. I really enjoyed the sound of RP-1 with Brimar CV4003 from upscale audio. The new production Gold Lions were also very good. 

@audphile1 @buellrider97 Thanks nor the great advice. Much appreciated! New unit. The manual states it should be at factory setting. Gain 43dB and loading set at 47K. 

You’re good to go. But if I were you I’d pop the hood and take a look anyway. To confirm and to understand how it’s set.
