Klipsch Heresy IV owners? what amp are you running

I echo the Leben cs300xs pick. Not only is it perfectly power matched but it has the ability to tame the Heresy’s horn which can get annoyingly bright especially on jazz. Bass boost is a bonus as is a balance control. It is also a fine aesthetic complement at least with the oak speakers i have. Added the sublime Leben phono stage to carry the Clearaudio Concept Wood / Dynavector signal and it’s just a lovely, musical, relatively compact system.

The Heresy IV is nothing like that. Though the Leben would be a very good choice.

@bthemann you hit on a few functions and features my buddy would have never considered before finally convincing himself all the separate expensive tube preamp, tube amps, with ultra expensive tubes was 1) no longer needed in an attempt to inject [other types of] tone controls (different tubes, cables, other) to help tame glare or brightness of his sub-optimal listening setting with no room treatments.

The Hersey IVs were also re-compared with other more tame speakers afterwards too, all were returned after 30 day demos. Buddy was seriously trying to old on to his top shelf tube gear separates in different ways, while keeping the H4s.  Did not work.  Sure seemed like a lot of trial and error to save speakers that fit his room setup. The final result finally came, but it took a lot of time, effort, $ to get there. 

 He liked the way the horns in the H4s projected out into the room, but still wanted to figure out how to tame them a little bit more to reduce listening fatigue, more in favor of longer listening sessions. 2) was finally able to get rid of separates, cables, and consolidate back down to a qualified integrated amplifier 3) helping to eliminate the idea of obsessive tube swapping that went on for a decade with the separate tube components.  4) simplification and ability to leave the amp powered on longer with less worry of expensive tube burn-down.  5) Get back to listening to music and less worry about listening to components any more.  

Selecting the well engineered integrated amplifier with the added controls has really helped him to realize the goals 1-5 above.  Long journey to "get there".
