Burmester 232 vs mono blocks in the same price range ange

Bought a Burmester 232 5 months back. Broken in by now. Absolutely love the signature sound. Just wondering if mono blocks in the same price range ($25K - $30K) would sound much better or the same. The Burmester was a blind purchase since I had it in my car and loved the sound. What is special about a $30K integrated amplifier in terms of audio circuitry etc?

@mramaswamy11 the gryphon is very nice, not a fan of Vitus.  the weakest part of the 232 is the amplifier section, not that its bad but it does not compare to the 956/216/218/etc.  the preamp section is very good, at my shop we compared the 232 and than used the above using the precuts on 232 and it was a major difference/upgrade.  I sell the 232 with an amp several times

@ckr1969 Will look into that for future upgrades. Out of curiosity, is the Gryphon 333 in the same league as the 232?

@mramaswamy11

We have Kanta 3s in our home theatre and while they are nice speakers they are definitely the weak link in your excellent system. I second upgradIng them. I own Rockport speakers and highly recommend them. They are universally regarded as one of the best speakers made. Start with the Avior ii and go up from there

@ronboco Wow. They're almost $40K. So speakers should ideally be as or more expensive than the amplifier?

@mramaswamy11

Not necessarily. You can definitely get good synergy with much lower cost speakers and I’m sure your kantas sound great but at the level you are talking about high end speakers are usually part of the equation.
