Uber Amps - Are they worth it?

Design of gear piece matter for sure...

But it is more important to set our budget limit (S.Q./price ratio) and the rightfully  chosen % allocated to each gear piece compared to all others...

But it matter way more to know how to optimize the 4 working dimensions of any system/room...

 Then arguing about  any video publicity for or against costly gear pieces is only circus of impressions...

i own for my K340 a vintage Sansui alpha series integrated (peanuts costs almost) ...

For my low cost speakers and secondary headphones high end amp at any cost will be useless... It is so well optimized i did not need more...

Acoustics rule not price....Not even amplifier design can rule over acoustics( i do not speak of only basic  room acoustic here) 

The sound experience is born from the whole 4 working dimensions of the syastem/room not from  the esthetical and price tag associated with low cost or high cost amplifier.... There exist low cost amplifier which S.Q. experience will vary a lot in relation to these 4 optimized working dimensions and for the better and inversely there exist SQ experience  which will vary a lot for the worst  because of lacks associated to these 4 working dimensions...

Then speaking in a video of  subjective difference between two amplifiers means not much because it is out of any specific workings dimensions ...

What’s an Uber amp??

The least expensive amp that sounds good to you blind folded usingone of your favorite recordings.   Nothing else matters.  Unless you are a show off and are trying to impress.  

We love what we had bought and we want to love it at any price...(with or without dials)

I am like any other audiophile...

But i learned how to modify the 4 working dimensions, the three musketeers who are 4: mechanical,electrical,acoustical,and DSP (d’Artagnan) ...

By the way i stopped listening this A.I. video after 4 seconds...

Read me right:

 A.I. is a great tool, i discussed with GROK yesterday 4 hours about set theory...

But the inundation of A.I. videos on all platforms  is the abomination of desolation... A complete incoming  destruction of the free threefold social fabric...

A.I. is not sold as a mere tool but as the next superior agent: an idol...

Most people will not use it to discuss acoustics or set theory.... 

Uber ANYTHING, is it worth it?  Yes for some, no for others.  It will NEVER change; that is why the spectrum of quality / price / value / performance is always available across all markets.  We all choose where and how much to spend, and all appreciate and recognize worth where we personally see it.  Cereal, coffee, beer, wine, vodka,  listening chairs, cloths, cars etc.  Audio is no different; the good stuff is better. Spend your money where you want, or keep it under your couch.

"Is it worth it to YOU"  is really the only question.

My take?  Buy what you think you really want (and can afford) and it will save you from selling at a loss and rebuying what you really want.

Quality leaves no regrets.

Quality must be associated with a specific set of factors  associated with an objective complex phenomenon... The word "quality" threw in the air means nothing or means price tag...

If not associated with a working context, we can translate "quality leaves no regrets" by  "high price equal quality"...

Acoustics experience is about knowledge not just impressions and certainly not just about price...

High end products are not synonymous of good sound ....

"My Ferrari is worth it for me" is not an argument...It is often a confession of ignorance or a reflection of our obsession with car....
