The Music Room is Slipping

I've bought a few things from them over the past few years.  Most recently a Parasound amp which I had wanted to move up to for some time.  About a month after receiving the amp it developed a problem (unit would not turn off).  I called TMR and was given options of refund, exchange for another unit, or repair at their cost with TMR paying the freight.  I chose the latter and it was returned in good working order.  I was very happy with the overall transaction.  Had I bought privately, there would certainly been no guarantee that the seller would either take the unit back or paid to repair it.  So while you may pay more at TMR, I have found them to stand behind their sales.

@atulmajithia in this day of iPhones with cameras and microphones… There is a very good chance that you could document an issue in a way that would be hard to dispute. I understand that some issues are intermittent… And that could be problematic. But hopefully you could find a way to reproduce the problem so it could be demonstrated.

I’ll say this. I’ve done business with TMR several times over the course of months and years and have noticed the exact thing you’re are talking about. As a result, I’ve become very aware of the used market and just decided to cut them out of the “buy back” portion. I now create all my own ads for gear I’m selling, I gather all shipping details, I handle all the packaging, and I also deal with all the tire kicking low ballers and that’s the biggest pain in the ass and I do it all for top topper in order to get that next piece

Remember, “profit” is not a dirty word.

“Profit” can however become obscene if it was too excessive.

Do some research first, or you may not like what you find afterwards.
