Sony UBP-x700 or Denon DVD-1930CI with Denon AVR-4520CI for SACD

Don't like the 'no display' plastic Sony x700 I currently use via HDMI to my Denon 4520.

Found a used Denon 1930CI that is more substantial and plays SACD. But I don't think it puts out DSD over HDMI (only PCM)? Analog may not allow DSP, Audyssee (and not sure how good the 1930CI DA is). Noticeable difference?

@mahler123 "player with display". Duh, yes, that is the point of my post here, checking if the Denon player would be a good replacement.

Having had both Sony and Denon spinners, I'd go with the Denon and be done with it, in your case.

Get the Sony UBP-X800M2...it will play all your sacds, cds and blurays. There is no dac, hdmi or spdif out only.

And....pssttt, here's a secret, it is also a very high quality streaming transport. It will act as a upnp device and play the hires files on your NAS....or install the bubbleupnp app on your phone and stream qobuz on it....

All of it...for only around 300 dollars, thanks to Sony's very charitable nature.

@kraftwerkturbo

 your OP seemed to me to rule out the Denon because it doesn’t do DSD.  And if you don’t value my advice I’m done here

I have aa Denon 1930CI as a backup and it's been solid for many years. I think I paid about $20 for it on ebay and it plays very well.
