Upgrader streamer from Lumin U2 mini to Lumin U2 or Hi Fi Rose RS-130

If you are out of warranty period on Mini U2, have you thought about the after-market Power Supply upgrade? Lot cheaper than $2500 and may get you what you need?

Steve Huff in his reviews, said the 2 streamers (Lumin U2 & RS-130) are very close, but a slight edge to the Hi Fi Rose RS-130 streamer.

Did he also mention that the $1,400 T8 gets fairly close to streamers in the $6k range, with an app experience he actually prefers? The only aspect of the T8 that may not please everyone is its brighter house sound, though it should pair very well with a warmer system.

Make sure your down stream components like your DAC are sorted first, if your DAC is sorted then the streamer makes significantly less difference. Audioholic YouTube cannel goes into details on this from an engineering standpoint and why you need to sort your DAC first.

Thank you for your time in reviewing my post. Not sure what you mean about sorting the dac first. I did check the Audioholic You tube channel and could not find anything regarding sorting a DAC. Would you be kind enough to provide a link or direct me to where I can find information on your suggestion. It sounds very interesting.  Thank you. 

@kjl1065 you are in the process of sorting out your dac situation by researching the upgrade options there. That’s what @glennewdick meant.
