Jay's rooms almost done - getting nervous

I have complete faith these rooms are going to be game changing.  I can't wait to see the reference equipment. I don't understand new floors, they are so pretty all lacqered up and everything, and really cool surface designs. if you haven't seen you should take a look.  Hope no one slips and falls and don't you need a rug.

But that's not why I'm nervous, I haven't gotten my invitation to the barbecue.  I have amazing things planned that I can bring.  I know Jay's got a lot of things on his mind and he hasn't forgotten about me.

If I grew up I probably wouldn’t be buying audio equipment all the time. And listening to music. And watching home theater with exceptional sound quality.

we are all children at heart.

I hope you’ll be attending the barbecue whenever it happens

How do you like the Amati g5’s.  i am seriously thinking about getting these and then the tariffs came. I just want a really comfortable set of speakers to listen to, I’m getting kind of tired with all the detail coming out of my bowers speakers it’s too monitor like. It’s very nice but maybe it could be a lot better in creating a better presence in the room.

I like to learn about room acoustics and how people set up their rooms hoping to hear some intelligent feedback about some guy doing a lot of work somewhere in Texas it’s very curious.  You have to admit it’s curious, Jim.

I honestly don't understand all the hype. I'm not impressed whatsoever. The rooms are not architecturally stimulating and the materials used are wrong.  I'm not sure why an architect or interior designer wasn't consulted.  And more importantly why wasn't an engineer who actually specializes in acoustics for studios consulted? Why address the room's poor acoustics at the end while the acoustics should have been part of the design?
