You must ascertain the condition of the fastening points in the cabinet. Can it survive a driver r/r? Will it take threaded inserts? Can you mount the new drivers rigid and plumb?
Replacing drivers in Sonus Faber speakers..anyone?
I am beginning to think that at some point I will have to replace the drivers in my SF GH's...primarily due to age. The drivers are fine at the moment, but like everything. they are aging. Has anyone had to replace their SF drivers? If so, what was the source of the replacement and how did that get accomplished?

@incorrigable You make a very good point. Luckily, the drivers appear to be very sturdily mounted in the cabinets. So, if and when i replace the drivers, the issue should not be a problem. Brings up another question, is there anyone on this forum who has actually replaced their divers in a SF product? |
An error in a system tuning exercise (I assume) led me to replacing a tweeter in one of my Venere S speakers. I obtained it from Fine Sounds at https://finesounds.com/en/americas/ They were absolutely superb in supporting my request for pricing on all the Venere S elements (At the time, I was thinking about buying spares for the future, as daveyf has suggested) and eventual replacement of the tweeter. I would caution you that I am a a reasonably skilled DIY person and I did find it a bit daunting. Take very careful notes or videos of your speaker removal for when you have to re-install it. I'm not sure what kind of help I can be, but feel free to DM me if you have more questions... |
@mhodel Thank you. I will be contacting Fine Sounds to determine the availability and pricing of new drivers. |
