Going to Japan and buy from Japan

Accuphase distributors are notorious for refusing to service units purchased out of country.

Your plan is a great idea if a) you have access to a local tech qualified to service / modify Accuphase products, or b) you yourself are that person.

If you’re in a browsing mood, check out www.hifido.co.jp/. Their website looks terrible, but if you read about the company you’ll find that they are very well respected.

You all miss the point. The man wants to buy a great piece of Japanese equipment while being in Japan. He is not asking for an advice whether to do it or not.

If I visited Japan, I’d hunt down cartridges like DS Audio. Portable and no voltage conversation needed.

Accuphase- seems Audio Cubes offers best prices in both North American and European voltages.

@inna  If I see a stranger about to walk in front of a car, I feel obliged to stop him. I don't wonder if he wanted my help.  🤣  And no one is forcing him to accept our opinions.  But I would point out that so far, no one has chimed with "hey great idea.  I did it and had a wonderful experience".  Cheers.
