TEAC VRDS-701 vs. TEAC VRDS-701T (CD Transport) to pair with Hegel 390 integrated amp?

Will the built-in DAC with the TEAC VRDS-701 CD Player deliver substantially better sound than using the built-in DAC of the Hegel H390 connected to the TEAC VRDS-701T? While the transport gives me more flexibility with DACs, I've read rave reviews of the TEAC VRDS-701 chip technology and it's nice that the TEAC VRDS-701 includes a headphone jack. Any opinions? What would you recommend?

The 701t has beefier power supplies.  I own the 701t and it's a great machine.  I don't think you could go wrong with either

I am using the Lab 12 DAC 1 Reference.   It’s stripped down , no volume control or DSD but sounds great.
