Led Zeppelin II on vinyl

@audphile1 Nonsense! Zep 2 in one of the best recorded rock albums of all time and good copies hold up quite well to critical listening.

And IMO, it's all fodder for critical listening. Nothing wrong with doing both at the same time.

Get the Jimmy Page remaster from 2014. It's very good and not expensive.

It’s got to be well recorded to enjoy the music. Not saying any crappy recording will do. I wouldn’t start this thread if I thought otherwise 
Remaster is my last resort. That I can listen to in digital. 

Keep the Classic RI on your list.

I found one for cheap (in OLD downtown Bakersfield,CA 15 years ago? )before scoring the RL. If you never heard an RL, the Classic is quite good. 

Comparing the 2, whole lotta different. Not "better" but to my audiophool ears, bass, drum impact of the RL more convincing.

Well, you said you're not looking to pay "insane amounts of money" for a copy, which suggests that you're not in the market for an "RL" "ss" copy which is the best version out there. Meanwhile the 2014 Page remaster is the next best option. It will certainly sound better than the Classic records version being mentioned here which is terrible.

@thebrokenrecord I just bought a VG+ on Discogs of the exact same pressing (at least based on description) I have. Since I liked the sound I figured I’d start there. I might give the Japanese pressing a try at some point as well. The RL is out of the question for me unless I accidentally stumble upon it on garage sale or some flea market which is near zero chance as I don’t do those.
