Speaker Jumpers

Is anyone here experienced with a speaker jumper cables, in particularly Furutech JumperFlux-Spades? I've been told that they are an exceptional cable but need 200 to 300 hrs to break in? 🤔 200 hrs is probably when your ears don't remember how your system sounded previously lol. I've had them for 50 hrs now and with all due respect to Furutech, they sound terrible.  The cheap $0.25 factory metal strips that came with my Klipsch LaScala AL5 speakers sound 100x better than these $560 CDN jumpers. I'm glad I didn't buy the $23,000 CDN jumpers by Ansuz!

So should I stick to the 200 hrs or accept my loss and move on?

You’re moving the signal 2 - 4 inches?  Welcome to the world of audiophile marketing.  IMHO, you have answered your own question.  Let the cable wars begin, again.  😆

@bigtwin I am a believer in power cords and cables though.I recently discovered that an Audience FrontRow USB didn't gel with my system, but my older generation Ansuz X2 USB sounded 100x better.  And now I'm witnessing how my speakers sound 100x better with the factory  thin metal strip vs Furutech jumpers, yes Furutech! I'm about to venture into XLR'S now but luckily I found a local company who offers a free 30 day trial.

What brand is the speaker cable and why are you not using that as your jumper?

Yes, to give the jumpers a fair shot, you should stick to the 200 hrs before moving on.  If they still sound like crap after 200 hrs, you should definitely move on.  Down through the years, whenever I've used jumpers (including now), I've always opted to use jumpers made by the same manufacturer as my speakers cables, and that method has never failed me yet.  Happy listening.

I guess I was reduced into buying these Furutech jumpers because of a custom Furutech power cord with Furutech connectors I had made to replace the factory cord for my Innuos Pulsar Streamer.  And the improvement on SQ was immediate and immense.  Not to mention Furutech connectors are beautiful. At this point maybe I should honor the 200 hour break-in time.

Moving forward I'll only purchase cables from reputable dealers offering a full refund. In fact there's a manufacturer here in Canada using Furutech connectors who actually offers 30 days on his products. XLR cables are next once I sort out these jumpers.
