Why vinyl

@pindac

"Albums have become increasingly unavailable in the Vinyl Medium."

Where do you get your facts? You obviously don't actively seek out current reissues as there are new titles hitting the presses every day. In addition, many are meticulously remastered providing vinyl versions that sound better than any previous vinyl release that came before.

@mahgister

Thank you.

I must mention Rev Davies’ Ragtime Guitar record that I played to death in the old days. A perfect answer to the question "why vinyl." Going off topic, you have prompted me to delve into his wonderful Angels and Demons box set available on CD and streaming.

My wife became a poster girl for breast cancer survival and has had fifteen amazing years since to see the kids grow up. Her prognosis is not so good now, so we make the most of everyday while she’s still relatively well.

It was her who encouraged me to get back into vinyl after she became ill again. Life’s just too short not to do things you enjoy. Why not vinyl, indeed.

Fantastic stuff. I very nearly got to see Sister Rosetta play live. Unfortunately, she was ill and had to cancel.

In the words of Sister Rosetta

" That was such a shaaaame, my ailment was to blaaasme"  😎

I guess because I grew,up on vinyl. I wasn't allowed to touch my step fathers system. So when I got my own to play my albums on on.I took care of them.Then cds hit...I now like both. Shoot me.
