EAR Acute Classic - has anyone heard or tried it

EAR just released a new cd/dac single unit: the EAR Acute Classic  http://www.earyoshino.com/Acute-CD-Player/

Has anyone heard it or tried it?  I previously had the EAR Acute 3 but sold it a few months ago.  I really loved it but thought the DAC portion could have been better, but it was a little dated (came out about 5 years ago).  I'm really interested in this unit and would appreciate if anyone can offer any feedback on it.  I don't have a local dealer near me so am reaching out to others who may have more experience with it.

Anyone still enjoying any of these E.A.R. Acute Series (Acute, Acute3, Acute Classic or Acute 4 ) players?

Happy Listening!

I am fortunate to hear one regularly as the main Source an the System of the Owner which is all Valve with Stacked ESL 57's. I know this system very well and have heard it numerous times with different CD Sources and the odd added on TT.

I have also heard the Acute in use in a few other Systems using Valve Amp > ES Loudspeakers and Cabinet Speakers. Where it maintains being extremely attractive in use.

I have heard what can be achieved using a selection of configurations for the Valves in use.

It is a exceptional CDP, used via a Pre Amp or used as the Pre Amp-VC

The regular group have also heard it as a DAC only and as a XLR into SS Amp's and maintained their great appraisal for the Source.
