Looking for a DAC $2500-$4000

Okay the digital part of my 2.1 system consists of a Line Magnetic 845 Premium Tube Amp, Tekton Encore Speakers, Cambridge CXN V2 Streamer, and an Oppo 205.

I'm running the Cambridge through the Oppo 205 to use it's DAC.

The Cambridge has a nice DAC that has been described as an every man's Streamer. It has a musical more analog sound to it.  The Oppo's DAC is more detailed but also sounds more analytical or clinical.

What I am looking for is something that can be both on a higher level.

The reviews I've read about the Musical Fidelity M6x DAC ($2500) seems to be what I'm looking for.

Do any of you fine lovers of Streaming have any suggestions that I might add to my list to research? In the $2500 to $4000 range. Thanks for the help.

BTW three key things that led me specifically to the Topping d90III Sabre DAC:

1)  I decided to go Delta Sigma rather than ladder with the DAC in pursuit of cost effective performance

2) I am always a fan of trying the latest and greatest technology when possible and the Topping d90III Sabre specifically uses the latest top of the line ESS ES9039SPRO DAC chip (2), which many others do not.  Also I had heard the Eversolo A8 which I believe uses the same chip on familiar speakers (Sonus Faber) and thought the results were superb.  I was actually less impressed with the sound of the more costly and visually stunning Eversolo a10 I also heard for comparison, which I believe uses a lesser chip in the ESS line.

3) Overall build quality based on measured performance reported is clearly top tier.

@kennyc @charles007100 Both Thankyou for the Shout Out for the DAC's.

I am lurking, as it somebody else's Thread, but am picking up on all SS suggestions.

@meambler looking at the Cambridge specs, I do see its limited to 192/24. Which will mean you are missing out on the higher rate PCM/DSD support in today’s DAC’s. Theres lots of high definition downloads available now ( aka HDTT web site or Native DSD).  You might get better bang for your buck buying a Gustard R26 or an R30 where you can also stream 384/24 directly to it using NAS storage and controller software like JPlay or DSD if you run Roon server on a PC or MAC. I don’t think you will get full value out of a DAC costing more than $2k without higher rate file support in the streamer solution

@bowshooter58 I was just reading about the LAIV harmony udac.  You have the higher tier one it seems but I keep hearing great things about the little one the udac being a giant killer.  How are you enjoying the Harmony and does the reclocking make a big difference?  Hearing some wildly good reviews on their gear and would love to substantiate with more opinions.  Would be awesome to get high tier sound without paying the $5-10k+
