I use a Cinemag 1257, produced during the COVID Period and due to the production method, is stated to have been wound to the same quality standard of the Bob's Devices windings.
I can' quite say what that actually means, but do recollect hand produced more over machine wound ?
I have been able to experience a variety of SUT's and Head Amp's, which enables me to state out of a selection of SUT's experienced, I have been able to identify that a selection are very very Rich in Tone and far from what I class as attractive.
I class the Cinemag 1257 as the most transparent SUT I have used, and until heard side by side to a Head Amp', can be confused with sharing the same transparent qualities offered from the Head Amp.
I own the 'Cb' Cartridge and also know the Windfeld very very well.
As difficult as it is to accept, there is a Richness of Tone created by the Aucurum Wire and this can be pressed on to extending further from the Interface to the SUT.
A wire used in a Interconnect such as PC Triple C will create the perception Richness of Tone is being diminished, where as a wire such a D.U.C.C will create the perception there is an underpinning of a Richness of Tone.
My suggestion is the Cinemag SUT, either the 1257 as a DIY model or a Brand using the same design.
When the understanding is in place of the Richness Of Tone that is able to be perceived.
There are Two Wire Types suggested to assist with changing the perception and creating the influence that is most suited to creating the attraction within the End Sound the listener is wanting.
