You STILL have to make the effort to turn on the PL.
The one minute(counting the soft start)wait + hit the "HT" on the remote or turn the selector knob.
Yup, reason to get rid of it.
Precious time wasted.😂
Prima Luna EVO integrated - input reset question
I’ve recently purchased an EVO 200 integrated. It’s got 5 inputs, including a Home Theater bypass input. BUT, when you turn it on, the input selection resets to Input 1 every time! This is a bit ridiculous, though I do understand why. The cost of adding some "memory" electronics would raise the price.
What I really want is to use the HT bypass as my normal "everyday" input. But I cannot do this. My AV PrePro turns everything on, and I need the system to just power up and work without manually futzing with the amp input. For now I simply use Input 1, but I’d really prefer to use the HT bypass.
Does anyone know if there’s a DIY mod to change the default input selection??
stereo5 Gee thanks for the insult, but I assure you I am not lazy! The reason I want it to come on with HT selected is that my system has a TIMER feature, and it turns on every morning so I can wake up to awesome music every morning. I am not physically IN THE ROOM (or even awake) when it turns on, so I apologize for my laziness, and sleeping every night!newbee The HT absolutely is an INPUT. It bypasses the volume control, and actually does sound just ever so slightly more transparent than the standard inputs. And.... why on earth would HT be an output? How would you even use that? The Tape (rec) output is a fixed output that you’d use for recording.

I'm in the same situation here. I use my Evo 200 Integrated exclusively in HT bypass, and it is a pain to not have it stay in the HT bypass input, especially in an environment where I have to make things as simple as possible for my wife to also enjoy the system. Any extra steps just complicates everything. I'm actually considering an "automatic knob turner" just to make it easier. Not sure if I'm going to win this battle. The other probably more sensible option is just to sell this and get the poweramp-only version. |
