Why vinyl

I dont know but for me "music" matter more than "sound" alleged superiority  from vinyl album ...

here what Google A.I. answered about the %  of available music on vinyl :

«As such, while popular and classic world music albums are frequently available on vinyl, it represents a smaller, specialized percentage compared to total streaming and digital music availability»...

Damning words meaning if you like music over sound, vinyl is a nostalgia jail... Not a way to explore music anymore...smiley

Yes my post is a bit provocative but audiophilia is not  synonymus of  vinyl nostalgia, and music experience has nothing to do with sound qualities of vinyl versus cd or digital files nowadays ...

Optimize your digital system ...I did not say upgrade because we must optimize what we own before upgrading any gear piece ...

I dont have headache with my files...

My actual Bach clavichord French suite by Zuzana Ruzickova on files is better way better than my vinyl album of the same on my Tannoy/Sugden/ turntable by a long shot ... Thanks to acoustics understanding ...

By the way i know for sure that on a top high end system/room like the one of Mike Lavigne  it is possible that the vinyl album will be better than my low cost well optimized digital system/room... But most people are not at this level ... smiley nostalgia is not audiophilia...

@slaw Why not indeed. That’s quite the set up you have. Whee doggie. When we moved I made the mistake of selling off my close to twenty five feet of records.

I think there is a thread going about how often to check tracking force.  I’m waiting for someone to say between each song.  Come on someone, you know yo want to say it…

Vinyl is a great outlet for OVD
