Bob Weir

I just discovered that Bob Weir has passed. I’m really getting old. It seems like yesterday that I was at a show watching Bob, Jerry and Phil mixing it up on stage.

Also, my greatest appreciation for Keith comes from 73 and 74. Kind of jazzy funky stuff. But I am a sucker for the wake of the flood era.

@larsman Yeah but when Donna was on, it was a beautiful thing.  RIP Donna.

@peter_s For me, also early on when Keith was fresh and new. I have to say though that Brent did the same thing for me when he first started up with the boys.

Europe '72 was a gift my girlfriend got me on my 21st birthday. It was released the week before. So many different shows on one album. I think I wore out that one and Black Sabbath's Paranoid that year.😜

I always loved the artwork on the back cover. 🍦

Damn... time goes by way too fast.

RIP Bobby.

When people refer to Europe 72, I think of all of the shows that Rhino released in a treasure chest. That was a limited addition but I believe the shows can still be downloaded from the Rhino website. I’ve just realized that folks are actually referring to the compilation album that came out in the1970’s. Nothing wrong with that album however I wish to make people aware that the complete shows from the entire tour, including a Luxembourg radio broadcast, were released and may still be available in some way shape or form. Also, they are in my opinion, some of the best recorded shows in the entire GD catalogue.

Long time dead head. First show was frost amphitheater in 85, it has been released as Dave’s pics number 49. Made it to a couple hundred shows around the country, most of my shows were in the Bay Area, before I took a break. I was sad when Jerry died, I honestly felt gutted when Bobby passed.
