Conrad-Johnson CAV-60 integrated amplifier

hi,
Has anyone listened/tried it and can give an impression of its sound quality?

thanks.
Did you have one of the models from previous years, or something more current?
Because I remember that in previous years, for example I heard one of these in the nineties, they were more sweet and round.
I recently tested an Audio Research 70 at home and it was very sharp and a bit thin to my taste.
But I guess it also depends on the combination with the other components

Another tube integrated to listen to is Rogue. I briefly auditioned one with Klipsch heresy's and found it really fun.

I dont know the 60 but I listened to the Cav45 about 5 years ago in a shop in Memphis and it was sublime. I have never owned a tube integrated or power amo, just preamps. The sound was really magical and I almost bit. My wife even liked it though she was concerned abut the heat. I didnt buy it just becuase the cost of shipping to Hawaii was astronomical. I still think about it though....I would listen to it if possible. I thought the bass was more than fine for jazz and rock. The mids are what makes it though.

Another +vote for CAV45/45S2. These Amp(s) are sublime indeed. Plenty of headroom and power for mid-sized floorstanders or Monitors. The CAV60 is a nice upgrade per TAS review. And yes, Audio Research (ARC) does sound off/thin to my ears as well.

Rogue Audio is a nice choice as well.

Happy Listening!

I used to have one but used it as a power amp. Its a nice sound but would not use it as an integrated if that is the thinking. I ran it from the outputs of a tube preamp.

Bass is not super defined but midrange was nice. A lot also depends on how difficult to drive the speakers you plan on using with it. With really inefficient speakers it will run out of gas fast.
