any ideas on how to insure your expensive equipment? I've tried several insurance brokers and they are unfamiliar with insuring high end audio. I would think its like getting a rider for an expensive watch, but apparently not.
I keep an excel spreadsheet of my equipment, tools, furniture, clothing etc and make sure my agent adds that value to my homeowners policy. And also make sure your policy allows for inflation.
I have replacement value coverage for all my household contents. I also made videos of both my systems with myself stating the model and serial numbers and price when new plus the purchase date. Farmers Insurance told me it is all I need.
In 1978 when I bought my 1st house, several insurance companies would not insure me because my audio system cost/value was over a certain % of the house cost, no riders either.
