Insurance

any ideas on how to insure your expensive equipment? I've tried several insurance brokers and they are unfamiliar with insuring high end audio. I would think its like getting a rider for an expensive watch, but apparently not.

I have asked my Allstate agent numerous times over the years if I need separate coverage and have been told time and time again that I did not, same as @kerrybh .

There may not be a total limit on electronics, up to your personal household items limit, but it is most likely limited at around $200-500 per item.

I keep an excel spreadsheet of my equipment, tools, furniture, clothing etc and make sure my agent adds that value to my homeowners policy. And also make sure your policy allows for inflation.

I have replacement value coverage for all my household contents.  I also made videos of both my systems with myself stating the model and serial numbers and price when new plus the purchase date. Farmers Insurance told me it is all I need.
